Potulka - city walks in Košice organized by ETP Slovakia in partnership with the City Information Centre and hosted by famous local guides Milan Kolcun and Zoltán Balassa presented what traces have various foreigners left in Košice in the past and how they contribute to the development of the city currently. The conference took part Dec. 3, 2019 in Brussels. It was organized by the Committee of the Regions, which recently launched the initiative Cities and Regions for Integration, together with other Commission departments. Enhancing the dialogue with local and regional authorities is a priority for the work on integration at EU level. Cities and regions are key actors in putting in place effective integration policies on the ground. However, many local authorities, especially small ones, have difficulties in accessing the resources available at EU level both in terms of knowledge and funding – a challenge recognized and tackled also by…

On November 26th, the final SIG meeting took place in Prague. The SIG members met for the last time with ICP representatives to summarize the 2 years of the INTEGRA project as well as to evaluate its main achievements and contributions. The participants identified specific developments in the field of integration policy and practice, which has taken place within the duration of the INTEGRA project. This article summarizes some of these achievements and developments.
